Short Description: 3-day Grand Canyon/Colorado River
Long Description: Grand Canyon 3 or 4 Day
Colorado River 3 or 4 Days, 2 or 3 Nights
WORLD CLASS SCENERY. The awesome beauty of Grand Canyon continues in the lower 100 miles of the canyon, but the Colorado River's famous rapids, though still exciting, are a bit tamer and less challenging. Massive sandstone cliffs conjure up imaginary shapes. Hidden waterfalls and pools carve their way down to the river. Wildlife is abundant, with frequent sightings of elusive Blue Heron, soaring hawks and eagles, and majestic Big Horn sheep. As the canyon opens, the nights are littered with stars. One of the great features of this 3-day trip is its ease of access from Las Vegas. *Many guests choose to precede this trip with an optional day's activities and overnight stay at Bar Ten Ranch on the rim of the Grand Canyon.
Packed with first-class amenities: deluxe tents and cots, sleeping bags, water-resistant gear bags and personal day storage boxes, delicious Dutch-over dinners, buffet breakfast and lunches, expertly trained guides, and top-quality rafts and equipment--all included in the trip price. Camping on the beautiful beaches in the Grand Canyon, hiking to side canyons and waterfalls, and exciting whitewater rapids make this an exciting adventure from start to finish.

Testimonials: I have been to Mexico, the Bahamas, and Europe. I have gone skydiving, bungee jumping, and flown in a fighter trainer. This trip has been without a doubt the most memorable experience I've ever had. This trip has done something others haven't. It has truly touched our souls.
Mike McKeaveney - Meridian, CT
Our guides were courteous, helpful, well-groomed, extremely knowledgeable, and above all else it was obvious that they hold a passion for, and respect for the river, and truly love what they are doing. Never once did I feel that they were just 'doing their job.'
Penny Conner - Newport Beach, CA
They were knowledgeable about the region, great boatmen, incredible cooks, caring guides, and memorable entertainers.
Karin Appelbaum - Ft. Meyers, FL
Your J-Rig and all of the equipment you supplied were top quality. The design of your J-Rig provided both maximum comfort for the less adventuresome and exhilarating thrills for the white water fans. However, most surprising was the quality and quantity of food. We never expected gourmet meals prepared with style at the bottom of the canyon.
Stuart, Meg, and Eric Yoak - University City, MO
These young people displayed kindness, patience, knowledge, manners, enthusiasm, and determination. They made everyone young or old, feel good. They were always ready to share their knowledge, always seemed interested in each person's life story and ready to assist the older ones¿
Dominique Legeai - N. Barrington, IL
Your guides are enthusiastic, well-educated about the region, extraordinarily hard working, unfailingly kind and helpful, and creative and funny. As someone who works in the customer service business, I appreciate how rare those qualities are. Western River is very lucky to have people like them. Every detail was expertly managed, but even more impressive, it was managed with respect for the environment and a focus on safety that was particularly reassuring.
Eve Hutcherson - Nashville, TN
From the moment I first met your team, I was greeted with a smile, taken care of with great attention to detail, given thorough explanations about procedure and safety, and then told fascinating tales about the river and its magical history. Their generosity and good spirit made all of us feel that we'd made real friends with whom we could be ourselves - in comfort and ease. The trip was filled with laughter, singing, fabulous food, fun games and first class service from beginning to end. These are memories that are truly priceless and will never be forgotten.
Lainie Sorkin - Beverly Hills - CA
Our guides were so aware of everyone's safety at all times that we were able to ride the wild rapids and hike narrow trails confidently.
Marnie Meyer - Paradise Valley, AZ
Those on your reservations staff with whom we talked and corresponded were fully cooperative and helpful and answered all our questions promptly and accurately.
James Henry - New York, NY
This trip was my second trip and just slightly better than my first which was perfect!
Vincent Allen - Lubbock, TX
What an experience!! We've been a few places and done a few things but this must be placed at the top of the list of the most awe inspiring, rush-inducing, near religious experience yet!
Steve and Pat Sessions - Lakeside, CA
The scenery was breathtaking, the food was simply delicious, the hikes were unbelievable, the rapids were quite hysterical, and the camps were pitched in postcard-perfect settings.
Steve and Jesse Sampson - Brookings, SD
